Leadership and Engagement

Supervision: Primary supervisor to 1 PhD Candidate + 2 research assistants and co-supervisor of 2 additional PhD Candidates. I have supervised 1 Master of Research Degree to completion and 1 PhD Candidature to submission (thesis under review), reviewed 2 Masters thesis and will review 1 Honours thesis in 2019.

ECR Representative: From 2015-2017 I was the Macquarie ARC Centre of Excellence for Nanoscale BioPhotonics (CNBP) Node ECR representative, organising speakers for a weekly seminar series and promoting cross disciplinary research project initiation and social connections within the 200+ members of CNBP.

Conference organisation: I organised 2 local conferences at Macquarie University- as an organising committee member for 2017 “Nanotechnology meets Bioengineering” Workshop and as a co-organiser for the annual Macquarie Biofocus Conference in 2015 and 2016. These conferences promoted cross-disciplinary collaborations within the university’s medicine, biology, chemistry, biomolecular sciences, physics and engineering departments.
